well not long as in long in distance between the countries but the thing is that i'll have to go to London or Paris and catch up another flight to Amsterdam then to Utrecht..unless i go by KLM from UAE since im here in UAE now so it takes quite a long time but directly to Amsterdam

changing in london is probably better. 4 airports, compared to one (i think) in paris. and think i=english is easier than french :) also you can catch an eurostar train from both cities i think - can be cheaper than one more flight but not sure about that
