You know ? A really gifted talented and skilled producer knows ( k.n.o.w.s. ) what he or she is doing. A fee too many remixes are sounding to me like ' watered down ' : castrated emotion by pitching up the tempo, removing the melody and adding silly beats

and a producer with careful sense simply knows which tracks not to touch... some of them simply become such big tunes that they have their place so deep in people's hearts, that any change of the version we love, starts to irritate us regardless of if it's actually good or not... at least that's how it works with me. Although I know many people who really like just to "refresh" the classics so maybe it's just a matter of taste...
Anyway, if you're remixing a track that's already well-known, you have to come up with something really creative and original because otherwise it's just pointless... it wont be remembered...
