2nd set today... Oliver Cattley

Tracks: 7.5/10
Mixing: 7/10
Flow: 7.5/10

Overall: 7.33, but yet again it's an uplifting/energetic set... not too creative. I liked the beginning, it was starting really promising. One of the best uplifters so I'll give it 6.75 :)

"No House", not "No progressive house" (which has elements of trance) or "Deep house" (which has elements of mininal or techno). This is different styles than pure "House". I hope you understound and again thanks for vote :)

I know, I thought it was meant as all kinds of house. You know, as if it was written 'no trance', then we are not using any trance tracks. :)
 
What can I say about Sergey Cilary's set? Nothing. This mix left me without words.

Tracks: 5 of 5
Mixing:4.9 of 5 (one transition is so-so, but...who cares?!)
Flow: 5 of 5
Overall: 5 of 5

Great job! Deserves a vote.
Finally, I have a "normal" version of V. Alvarez & Threef's Mix. Lets begin from Victor's one.

Loved that beginning with Datt's Remix and then introducing some tracks like Magnus - Thread Ender. Later in the set it was really similar to other sets, though. :(

Still, one of the best (if not the best) uplifting set so far. :)
 
Rest of today's sets:

Alex Wit:

Tracks: 5/10 (I don't like mashups, that's the reason there are only 5 points there)
Mixing: 7.5/10
Flow: 7/10

Overall: 6.5, I didn't really enjoy the set. I'm not a fan of mashups and it was yet another uplifting set. 6/10. :/

Kimochi:

Tracks: 7.5/10
Mixing: 5/10 (some troubles with beatmatching, if I remember correctly it was heard clearly before Spellbound)
Flow: 7.5/10

Overall: 6.66. Fact, that it was yet another uplifting/energetic set makes the note lower (yeah, I know... I'm annoying :P ) 6/10

Tomexi:

Tracks: 7/10
Mixing: 8/10
Flow: 8/10

Overall: 7.66 Very interesting set. I liked track selection in this one and the flow was also rather good. Enjoyed it a lot. :) 7.5/10, because it's still energetic set and there are some similar mixes. :P

And the last set, I've heard today... pkomar

I decided not to judge my set, because it would be rather silly. I sacrificed some tracks for a better flow and feeling of a journey. Hope you'll enjoy it. :)

I should have done a production only set. (it was a 50/50 decision on the submitted set)., but cos ive only had a few tunes signed so far I wasn't really confident to present 45 mins of unsigned material. As I'm not 100% sure that people will like it I just went with the best tunes of this year instead.

I checked your mix and I wonder:

Some tunes are lower in volume then others, and (I can be wrong here so apologies of I am) some seems to be lower quality (192 kbps?).

What did you use to mix this set? (Hardware, software?)

Every single one was a wav (expect one track that was 320kbps mp3). It was 2x CDJ 900s and DJM800 mixer using a Monster M-1000i and recorded using CDeX (I tried twice using audacity but it must have a bug cos it had crashed mid-record).

It was recorded to wav and converted to 320 mp3 using dB poweramp encoder at maximum quality.

I deduce that it must be variations in the productions themselves. Or maybe I shouldve just normalised the whole thing??
