has it ever occured to anyone that "fat chance" and "slim chance" means the same thing?

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, they get mad at you, but when you take them on a car ride, they stick their head out the window?
Strange creatures  but adorable, well most anyway!

If the temperature is zero outside today and it's going to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold will it be?
I'd calculate this via a starting point of reference, such as body temperature, since the judgement you're going to make is based on your personal perception.

Hence if we're talking in Celsius, 0 Celsius is 37 degrees or so colder than standard body temperature, therefore if it was going to be twice as cold, I'd say it'd be -37 degrees because you as a person would feel twice as cold.

Unless there's some exponential equation in regards to temperature rises and falls (which there may well be) that's the best answer I can give :)

you talking wind chill and heat index there, those are the "feels like temperatures"

Vicky's question clearly asks "how cold will it be?" not "how cold will it feel?" :P:P

Health tip of the day!

Dance your calories away
Get fit by dancing. Modern dancing can burn four to six calories per minute, while other styles such as ballroom, waltz, rumba, and square dancing can burn five to seven calories per minute. If you spend 45 minutes dancing, you could waltz away up to 315 calories.

Dance to and with Trance!:dancing:

why can't the people turn off the A/C in the office even if it's just 14° outside?

that would imply that 37°c would be a "neutral" temperature. to be honest, i find 37° to be quite hot, dunno about you tho :P
