Masterful Polish artist Kobana has served up a flurry of highly lauded productions this year, both as a solo artist and collaborator with frequent partner-in-crime Mario Hatchet. The latest single on Silk Digital, "Weekend Memories," comes from the latter incarnation. Various signatures appear early in the Original Mix, such as a bouncy house rhythm and the duo's incomparably meaty bass. With very little mid-range content in the build, the track seems destined for a techy break. Alternatively, it heads in epic melodic prog territory, centering on an unforgettably euphoric sliding lead chord progression. The drop is a true dancefloor killer, as the chords sidechain in an out of a vicious groove.

Oleg Izergin, the promising Russian talent, has been an unsung member of Silk's! roster for a little while now. For those previously unfamiliar with his work, his standout remix should be a grand introduction. A modulating bassline punches through an intricate, techy rhythm early on in the track, while "teaser" chords build in resonance. Later, an extended break presents the gorgeous lead in an equally powerful light as the original, ultimately reverting back to the techier vibe of the first half of the tune.

Finally, Greek phenom Terry Da Libra, who has been an enormous contributor to our newest division, Arrival Recordings, since its inception, offers his first mix for Silk Digital in the form of a quintessential prog trance rendering. Terry has been championed by a variety of a internationally acclaimed producer-DJ's (such as tyDi and Richard Durand) for his polished, "vintage" progressive trance sound in recent years, which he once again demonstrates in this take. Unabashedly radiant from the onset, Terry's remix begins with lush pads and hu! ge lead chords. Various melodic touches are added as the track! nears t he break, which features an absolutely breath-taking pad solo. The floating-on-air sensation evoked at this highlight moment in the release will undoubtedly trigger your own (very best) 'weekend memories.'
