Hey everyone, I just joined AH.FM and want some opinions. See i just got the Audioline MDEX3 a few days ago,

MDEX3small.jpg

DJmixerMDEX3

which is pretty basic i guess but its my first kit so yeah, ive already got the hang of it now and realized how limited it actually is and i wanna get an effects unit for it, so ive been looking on ebay and came across this:

Behringer DFX69
DFX69_P0192_Right_web.jpg

BEHRINGER: DFX69

Does anyone know much about these and does it look like it would be compatable with kit i got? Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Hey,

Welcome to afterhours.fm!

Well, for mixers you usually need an FX SEND output and FX RETURN input.
So we have something like:

Mixer >>> FX SEND >>>> FX Processor >>>> FX RETURN >>> Mixer.
And those mixers have buttons for turning it on and off.

indeed, you need a send/return on the mixer to use any fx device. and from the specs, it doesnt seem like this thing has that.

and why the hell is this called DFX?
