if anybody has questions or suggestions on what to get or whats hot post it up here
i alwys wanted a thread like this on all my other forums :ah:

my first question is has anybody used staton final scratch, if so is it worth buying, i dont exactly have enough money left for final scratch 2 but i can afford final scratch 1.5

Final scratch

Hi, Sasha here,

I have used both serato scratch live and Final Scratch, my suggestion for you is to evaluate what your future setup will look like, if you are going to add CD decks, then i dont really suggest getting FS, there will just be no need for it. but if you really have a hardon for the feel of vinyl, i would suggest getting Serato Scratch Live. Its rock solid, superquick and i have never had a single problem with it, while Final scratch crashes on me in midset, you dont want to do that, trust me.

Another thing, you said you cannot affort Final Scratch 2, so you will get 1.5 or older. I would say that is a mistake, make this equipment an ivestment. Dont buy old or cheap gear.

So in my opinion, i would take Serato Scratch Live, ******* wicked tool.

if you still want to get Final scratch, get FS2, save up and buy new, quality platform.

im going to see if there is anyone that would let me try them
but for now i guess im saving up for serato =)
 
Final Scratch 1.? is very slow in loading tracks.....because of USB port. FS2 has FireWire port and its faster!...It is the biggest difference between FS1 and FS2 I think!...sorry for my English:)|
 
i'm about to get rane's serato.. thats the best one out there.. although there is a new one coming out by m-audio.. check it out at www.m-audio.com
