EOYC 2013 Community Contest Rules, Info & General Discussion

Just one question, you want people to zip and upload, however, in soundcloud you cannot upload a ZIP as far as I know. it is an upload of a MP3, however you can provide a similar track list in the comments. I guess that is what expected or not?

(Also please be aware that soundcloud altered their rules few months ago. It means that even legally purchased tracks used in sets, regardless the sets can be taken down if they receive a claim from the rights holder. One thing is sure, I pay for devices, I pay for site, I pay for SC, I pay for license, I pay for tracks, however, very soon I'm not paying for soundcloud anymore and gonna switch to mixcloud. :p I respect rights, however I also have limits ... )

very good question just post one of the links or both .. soundcloud mp3 set and or zip link to be downloaded... better to do both :)

should we post just the links or can we add a small info (1-2 sentences) on what to expect from the set?

I always prefer to know what to expect when I'm listening to the set and I think that info may be helpful ;)

Hi everyone...I have one question for Dan (or everyone who knows the answer :D )

How can I reserve a slot for myself in this competition? Should i make a mix and send links to Dan or should I wait to post them for the poll?
If i have to wait for the poll it is possible that I will not be so quick and will have a disadvantage to those who reserved their slots.

I am starting to make my set right now ;)

Just post them in the thread mentioned on 1st page (where all set links are posted) between 15th and 30th October. That's all you have to do. And there's no other way to 'reserve' a slot other than posting the link yourself. :)

EDIT: At least that's what I understood from 1st post in that thread. ;)

Yeah...that is how i understand it too. BUT !!! How can Dan write that there are only 14 slots left right now if I CANT RESERVE A SLOT? That doesnt make sense.

There are 14 slots to be taken. That means, you can win one of 14 slots in the contest. ;)
 
I uploaded my mix on mixloud, good luck to everybody, can't wait for the big EOYC 2013 celebration ! :)
 
My mix hit the insane spot of 155 BPM, ****. :)
