it's not harder on the computer, it's just that the OS gives it lower priority because it has to go thru the browser and also flash.

Before sticking with web players I had a Windows Media Player Plugin for Chrome on my Old PC. No issues with it until after Hurricane Sandy, when after hooking it back up to mobile hotspot, my PC ended up crashing. That led to my old PC's demise. I can't trust that anymore, nor some other stream. Which has me sticking with a web player.
