winamp wont play alot of the extensions that r out there. vlc will play majority of extensions. however, vlc has an audio issue.

yes WinAmp I used too, think I have to go back to WinAmp
But I like VLC. not so overloaded - compared to the MS MediaPlayer

There are alternatives. I use XMPlay. Lightweight and stable ​

I use KM Player too, but only for video.

ya, its a software issue. vlc made the program to only go up to 97 (instead of 100), which isnt that big of a deal, but it makes the program look bad when you can only get the audio up to 97.
