yes I also thought so, but have only Firefox open and VLC-Player
maybe I should reboot, Windows is running since 1pm I think

it has absolutely nothing to do w/ how long windows has been running. you can let your laptop run ALL DAY & NIGHT, & itll be fine. it has to do w/ your memory. i know exactly how ya feel. my sis gave me her old laptop (intel celeron mobile cpu, 256 mb, 30gb hd (i think), UBER slow piece of junk). my dad gave me his laptop as well which is a lil better ( amd turion 64, 512mb, 60gb hd, left part of laptop is broken & cd/dvd drive is broken (wont stay shut).

yes WinAmp I used too, think I have to go back to WinAmp
But I like VLC. not so overloaded - compared to the MS MediaPlayer
