Having bought Norton products since DOS ages, my àbsolute preference goes to the DOS version of (Norton) Ghost. The Windows version lacks too many features when compared to (ex) PowerQuest Partition Magic ( bought versions 3.04 - 8.0
) one of the greatest software tools ever developed, in my humble opinion.
Acronis is some ' successor ' to PM (Partition Magic) tool-wise. Yet some details ( readability and parts of ease of use ) are not yet the quality of PM 8.0 and 7.0
Acronis is newer though, and handles the larger and more modern hardware. I bought all descripbed products above and use(d) them since the early 90'ies

hmm good melody, it uses a very repetitive structure a this point but i like it
i take it you have some background or just listen to a lot of music?

Hmmm, so what would you recommend getting then for partitioning and ghosting software? 
I just took a look at Mark's website and I love how simple and modern it is.
