It's believed that the African Bear originated when the Polar Bear migrated to Africa after a large chunk of an Arctic ice shelf broke off trapping a number of polar bears on an iceberg. The currents eventually carried the iceberg to the coast of Africa just off the shore of the Republic of the Congo .. .. ..

That's right! They stayed because with all the sand of Sahara then there has to be lot of snow in order to this much sand to be strayed around
