[Altered-Mind]

In my area there is Hip-hop (so not my thing), metal, country and western music, and pop. Nothing else except one lone techno DJ, Who is still sort of cutting his DJ teeth and has yet to find a genre. I go anyway, at least I can dance and I am supporting electronic music in my area.

hmmm that kinda sounds my area as well (Houston, TX to be exact). mainstream radio is everywhere here

however......there have been some good trance and EDM DJs that have stopped by.

best one this year for me is Christopher Lawrence Tech-Trance and Psy with a lil hard trance at the end =

I'm in Montana, no one stops here. We got a shit hot DJ out of Austin that was stranded here and basically created the electronica scene here. He was very Trance-y and I used to live for his nights at the bar. I make due now that he went back to Austin. You settle for the rest when you have nothing near the best.

This is why I try to go for a wide range of music, since I'm going to be in the radio industry anyway, and who knows what else along with it.

Also been teaching myself how to mix. Really early in that process though.

Yeah that's basically why my sig is what it is... the USA is a wasteland for trance... there are people who listen to it... but it's not like you can find a ton of clubs that play it...

Don't feel too bad. I lived here for 10 year4s without any electronic music scene at all. Glad to have 2 nights a week. I just keep hoping it'll grow. It's my lifeline.
