German based producer, Darren Porter teams up with the UK's Gareth Weston to present the follow up to last years hugely successful collaboration, The Tesla Effect. Both artist have been enjoying international success lately, with some of the biggest names in trance currently supporting their productions. So once again they combine their array of musical talents and bring another uplifting sledgehammer through the doors of Aria Recordings
The original mix kicks off with a chunky rolling bassline, subtle but enriching synths and crazed fills - before were then pulled into the breakdown through the use of some ferocious percussive rhythms. This first half of breakdown is led by a progression of hugely emotional pads, which are later accompanied by an assortment of atmospheric FX's, that really help set the track off. The track then builds again, using those percussive rhythms, before finally coming to an unholy climax. Where that haunting, but uplifting melody are joined by that driving bass and a piano which I found to be rather reminiscent to that of a sonar radar - which is rather fitting actually, as its very easy to lose yourself in this track.
The release also features an extended mix for fans who want to soak up that beautifully emotional breakdown that little bit longer.
