No. Every country does have 'something'. The electronics industry is not involved in whaling, as far as I know either. Wrong assumptions lead to hunting the rhinoceros for instance. A widespread belief about sexual gain in parts of Asia :( . While the tiger suffers from decreasing size of roaming territory by over-population of humans. In my opinion, all means should be considered: political and activism in several degrees. Btw : not everyone does have the same concerns. A boycot is boycotted by people for various reasons .. .. ..

This battle has been being fought for decades now. And while Greepeace, Sea Shepherd, et.al. are admirable, ultimately it has been the boycotts, particularly of the 70's that got the Japanese government's and IWC's attention. Because sadly, ultimately following the money remains one of the most effective way to influence change.
