It's just your way of expressing. And : I can imagine that when someone mixes his/herself, the listening is more ' technical ' . Whereas I am for instance more focused on the individual tracks and at times at the sequence of tracks in a set : do they fit, are they telling a ' musical story or travel ' ? :grinning:​

Individual tracks is what I look at too, but to be honest I've never bought in to this 'take me on a journey' stuff lol, I mean yeah a good set has flow, but some magical journey? I dunno lol.

yeah well it would be silly for a set not to have progression in a set really. people would get bored other wise... 'just when you thought it couldnt get better' etc.

dont forget the people who say 'i see the journey youre trying to tell' probs have 'help' too

Listen to Oakenfold's "A Voyage Into Trance", and then you'll buy into it

I believe that this magical journey stuff only works with the right type of music (and no, "Big Sky" isn't in that group..and for me, happy uplift isn't either)
