I bought my Technics and the DJM second hand and they're both thoroughly unbreakable (although I only just broke the headphone socket on the mixer yesterday - we were in fact close to disaster lol)

CD decks I think I'd only ever get new though, they seem a lot more fragile in comparison and strike me that they probably will need replacing at some point before long.

My only advice would be to learn on old/cheap decks, but when you're making your "big" purchase, save up and get the better stuff because it'll just last longer. To be honest though, none of it really matters anywhere near as much as simply practising :music:

Woow yeap Great Equipament for Lazy, and me i have Pionner 2X CDJ200 and 2XCDJ 800 MK2 too Mixer Behringer VDMX 1000 and 2X Stanton Turnables :friends: :music::music:

So basically CDJs have to be new and the mixer can be used. But CDJ 400s and DJM 400 is good to start with right?

Actually I have always had a thing whereby I said that when I broke my listener records I had to get drunk, but that was because it only ever used to happen about once every year, but now it's been three times in three months :drunk:

Not drunk tonight though, just having a couple :beer:

Yeah I think mixers and vinyl decks are just more durable, but I think they should be fine enough for you mate! :grinning: Hell of a lot better than the ones I had for my first 5 years anyway :)
