trance is a generic name ppl use to refer to EDM but trance in itself refers to the uplifting etc genre :P

precisely m8! it has evolved from Techno which is probably a descendent of disco...or so i have heard...(another internet station did an evolution of todays edm) quite intriguing imo! :grinning:

correct, but generally ppl call trance the uplifting kind :)
