my cat is called Zed, he is house cat but he goes out to play most weeks when he wants to. I actually used to take him for a walk like you

Almost each day : an about 20-30 minutes walk straight in the area. At irregular times: a longer walk. Because of the dangers of traffic : deep in the night - between 02:00 - 05:00. The very long walks becoming rare since 2007 ​

Actually, I'm not the only one - I know some people who have dogs + a cat - leading their small flock ( dogs partly on a lead, cats free ). So far I didn't encounter a cat owner whose cats actually follows ( ! ) for hours. My longest walks with Moosh were over 6 hours long ​

I have taken the 4 hour walk with Polar and Moosh. It's wonderful.

6 hours? a hell of a walk I bet you had your own little cat nap afterwards lol

Taking hundreds of pictures all along the way ( along the coast ) I've written down all large and small adventures of my walks with Moosh
