not even close, gonna make my own genre now for the sake of differentiation....was just "fast and energetic" trance at 145-147 BPM, emphasis on trance, at least that is what audiojelly and beatport classified the tracks as


you don't have to justify your vote, and i don't expect anyone to do so, can never please everyone
just wanted to point out a "rule" by which as AH Resident DJ or Staff, even if you don't like it you are not supposed to vote badly

Absoultely awesome! Great selection, cool bpm, lot of interesting elements (like this mixed intro track by Black Eyed Peas, and many others).

I think we need more sets like this on AH, not only "common" uplifting and progressive. This is a full value, impressive trance.


"Less popular"/"less often played" doesn't mean "worse". :grinning:



And, according to poll, this kind of music has many fans too

Sorry but I have voted "not my style" for the sole reason of PSY not being supported in our AH.FM style guide. Please follow AH style guide for future shows.

while there is much debate and misunderstanding between progressive, house and progressive/house, PSY is fundamentally different than any other genre, really hard to confuse it

whoever labeled this set as PSY needs to learn their genres

yes, it was a slight departure from the "prescribed" AH Style, but so are other shows, maybe reading back on the listeners comments will show that they enjoy a slight change in sounds, and those comments don't come only from my close friends, as was pointed out before, they also come from people that i've hardly seen before in the forums, also my close friends know that i want an honest opinion and i will not hold it against them if they speak the truth, and as such they also voted "not my style" previously, one is gotwf in this show, than Sunny did so in a previous show

IMO listeners feedback is paramount in being successful as a station or DJ

that game here since a few weeks testing the borders disturbs the whole community.
AND STOP telling damn bullshit in other Station Boards or other Chatrooms etc etc....im tired of all that childish politics here....

if you are just here on ah to disturb or destroy the harmon, then please go...fnd a place for you but not here or on any other Station or boards...

your comment doesn't belong in this thread, is out of context and totally unfounded, the discussion was solely revolving around the style i chose to play in my set

i tell you what i am tired of, i'm tired of the continuous "he said, she said" games, if you make such accusations please support them with proof, and please start a thread some place else in the boards for people to discuss freely

i am part of many other communities where there are also members from here, not one single time did i see anyone tell "damn bullshit", so you better have your accusations backed up by black on white proof (well white on back here)

this is a live show thread to discuss it, not intended for arguments of personal vendettas, and i wish to keep it that way

i'm also tired of people jumping the gun when there is a disagreement about certain subject and accusing everyone of bashing

for as long as i have been around this forums, there has been one time only when one of the participants has been rude to few other members, other than that discussions took place in a civilized manner

please, quit being so hypersensitive and immediately jumping to conclusions, based on one single comment

in most cases forums self-moderate but the staff here is responsible for making a judgment on whether something is appropriate or not and to put a stop to disturbing behavior, takes diplomacy to bring people to order

all most users do when intervening is to make matters worse and fuel the fire, because of the lack of diplomacy, and with all due respect you have done so quite few times already


the forums/members have been fine, having open discussions like adults, there has been no bashing or disturbance, just because some people choose to misread and misinterpret everything, doesn't mean the community is suffering and is in disarray

may i remind you of the thread you started few weeks back and how much it disturbed the harmony you seem to be so worried about?

so few choose to leave, get over it, we all have lifes outside the forums and other interests that we may wish to pursue in other places

nothing is written in stone, nobody signed up for life to be on AH, there are other forums that fulfill everyone in a different way

Holy fsck'ing moly!! Looks like this alternative set stirred up quite a fuss. Much ado about nothing, if you ask me. For the record, I decidedly do NOT care for PSY. It irritates the hell out of me, much akin to nails on a chalkboard in a hyper loop. I didn't get that from this set. I voted "Not my Style" because it described my sentiments exactly. If it had been bad, e.g. poorly mixed, screwed up levels, full of train wrecks, etc., then I would have instead voted "Pretty Bad". In this case, while I didn't particularly enjoy the tune selection, I can still appreciate the creative effort and innovation that went into it.

Disclosure: I consider T4E a friend, and have for a few years now. That didn't keep me from a "Not my Style", nor do I think she would expect other than an honest opinion from her real friends. A$$ kissers, maybe. But not her friends.

So many tunes, so little time. Get over yourselves already people :grinning:

dont wanna be a **** head or rude. but this was not psy, i can surely guarantee you Technikal would get mad if you told him he is psy. ive been a huge fan of hard trance since 2006 and still in love with it. its the next level of uplifting trance.psy has totally different style of hard trance. and its nice to listen a different style once in a while, still in the trance category. also Andy Ace does this type of sets and i dont see critisism.
