I understood what you mean by "uncommon", but it is stated that FF use around 200 of MB (can't remember the exact number), in busy usage (multi taps..etc)

in my case, it could be only one tap opened, with google loaded in it, but still sucks all that memory, it gets irritatiing and sluggish. I have to restart Firefox to bring back to its normal state.

I am sure that one of the installed add-ons is behind this issue, but with the number of add-ons installed in my browser, I really don't know HOW and FROM where to start

Tried removing them all - definitively - and re-installing FF ? On second thoughts ( just checked my own FF memory usage : 185 MB ) 400 is a lot yes !
MySpace pages I try to circumvent as much as possible .. .. .. They consume a whole lot memory in each browser and consume CPU clocks as well :bad:
