05. Saints & Sinners: Pushin Too Hard

This is almost like an old disco track but with it's hypnotic and slowly building structure is very credible still. Yet another Sasha & Diggers classic. Was one of THE tunes of millenium NYE between '99 and '00. Futureshock remix is also very nice and more pumping.

That's because it IS an old disco track. Very very heavily based on Patrick Cowley - Menergy from 1981

Gawd how come I never heard this? I must have been under a rock that year

Btw Pushin too hard was also the name of a Patrick Cowley track, from the album he produced for his friend Paul Parker. Very different from this one though. Patrick Cowley was one of the first people to die of AIDS, in november of 1982.

i'm off now folks

have fun!

I really loved Sasha and Digweed when they were together. I have about 4 of their CDs. They weren't the same after they split up. I wish successful DJ/Producer teams wouldn't do that. G&D are another team that should never have broken up. That was an even bigger disappointment for me than S&D going their separate ways.

Your set is awesome. Thank you so much for this blast from the past. (kiss) :music::super::rave::cat:

06. Jerome Isma-Ae: Phantom

If someone says prog doesn't sound as good as it used then this guy should prove them wrong:) Jerome Isma-ae has been put out so many bombs perfectly balancing bottom heavy basslines with great hooks and always having rock solid groove. Also balancing nicely between the underground and more accesible sound. THE breakthrough producer of last couple years. I had been playing his stuff for sometime already but this was the track that totally blew my mind. This breakdown at DTM in Helsinki in the summer of 2007 bring back so many good memories.

I know you love me - that's enough

Oh thank you, my love! The gift of music is always greatly appreciated! (KISS):cat:

What do you want or need for Christmas? I can't do much as my unemployment got cut in half. (Yeah, I'm freaking out somewhat about that.) I won't get any more student loan money until after New Year's, so Christmas is going to be a little pitiful for me this year as for gift giving. But I want to get you something. I can't afford to ship powder right now, so it will have to be something that doesn't weigh much. (kiss):cat:

:book: oh - you're having pretty tough times as well ( I'm having a job, but no income yet - from end of September onwards ) Don't worry about any gift. If you can afford it, a 'snail-mail' Christmas card is fine. If you send one, don't put a too expensive one please

the tunes i grew up with. i'm just really sad that I didn't came to life a few years earlier. missed a lot of good parties in the mid 1990s

Tell me about it. I was being abused by Leslie Parker in the mid 90's. But I discovered it at last. Better late than never. Trance saved my life and I'm glad that it did. I've never looked back. Trance is life. Joy. Love. All the good things. (kiss):music::cat:

I don´t know a single one of these tracks but the set is amazing :D These classic choons are the best :tjon::rave::rave:

Nice to hear! It's funny because to me these are the most played track there are to me. But I'm very happy to introduce these tracks to someone for the first time. There's too much good music in the world to find for one person to find it all:)

one of my favourite tracks of all time. quivver doing the vocals on this one. hypnotic, trancy and really really melancholic

i just hope people would dig their old vinyl crates more and leave the "second grade"-trance to only the big name djs.
