Was really an amazing show! Inkfish, Hans Zimmer, CHOONS!
Thanks! I will need to make the version with beats out of the last track
Yeah. dope set.
We need more collabos with Mr. Moor!
Always injoy your sets Orkidea
I see, but even if you focus on progressive and trance, there can be still a lot of variety within those areas, say, more moody, less summerish prog trance. Would be nice for a change
Excellent idea It would almost be a crime not to make one10. Hans Zimmer: Time
This track is crying for a remix and maybe I will find the time to make one
Oh... the pain that goes every month into deciding what tracks NOT to play. There are always lots of variation but at the end it's down to what are the strongest tracks of the month. Many of the more atmospheric and moody tracks (like the stuff from Mistique Music) aren't maybe so strong just by themselves but work better as part of a bigger picture. That's maybe why they tend to give room for the more "hooky" and melodic tracks.
I guess I'm also not moodiest guy on the planet which may dictate some of my choices too But maybe doing some themed sets (ambient/psy/underground/old school) might be a good idea. Lets see how September will sound like...
My opinion once again: Leave the Classics UNTOUCHED, especially if they get changed like this Ayla track..from melodic to more progressive...
I believe, that music gets stuck if (classic) tracks get remixed and remixed again...where is the creativity to make new future Classics??
Sorry for being a bit off topic, just my opinion
I kinda agree with you as to me the original "Forward Forever, Backwards Never" mentality is definitely big part of electronic dance music's DNA, but I have to say that remixing and remaking has also been big part of DJ culture and club culture since the New York disco years.
