08. M.I.K.E., Rank 1: Elements Of Nature

And speaking of artists recently refering to going back to "pure trance" - here are two good examples and guys I'm expecting a lot from this year. Rank 1 and M.I.K.E. were the masters of the supersaw sound of '99 and it's nice to hear how they update that sound to 2013. Production wise 'Elements of Nature' sounds really big but interestingly has very few elements (or instruments) in it. Something especially M.I.K.E has always known how to do. Big sound for the big rooms...

09. Paul Van Dyk & Austin Leeds: Verano (Orkidea Dub edit of Alex MORPH remix)

PvD's "Berlin Mix" of 'Verano' was one of my last year's favorite big room tracks and Alex Morph has made a really nice and driving remix of it. Especially the acidic rolling bassline is something you don't hear so much nowadays. Unfortunately it has a super commercial vocal in it which I'm not so much into, but to fix that I decided to make my own dub edit of the track combining the Morph remix with PvD's own mix:)
