I myself have several PC's plus removable HDD's
( yielding a huge freedom of choice )wahahahahaha

I thought I will have to make a backups. There's a lot of files on my HDD.1. back up your data at an external storage medium first ( HDD / USB stick, whatever )
2. if you're dependent on internet & certain programs : have a second PC with the new stuff, untill the transition is fully done and you're satisfied. I myself have several PC's plus removable HDD's( freedom of choice )
