tiesto - suburban train (sean tyas remix) ?
DJ Times: C’mon, there’s got to be some downside, no?
Tiësto: I travel well… I always fly First Class. I eat well… There’s really no downside. Not at all. [pause] Although, maybe a downside is that after you become very popular, people expect more of you, and they always expect the same things as they know from the past, so it’s very hard to evolve in your sound. People always know you for what you did in the past, and if you come up with something new, people say, “That’s not Tiësto.” Or “He’s not the same anymore.” Yeah, that would probably be the only downside.

:muahaha:LOLbut in my view, appreciation and taste ( preferences by decade, for example ) are not that much correlated with generation(s). Yet: ' awareness ' ( knowledge ) is often. Due to ' promo ' of mostly recent stuff. And again, here too: time can be spent only once. Both from the DJ / radio station side, as from the listener side

There is no special taste for a generation. This is not like the 80' vs. 90' thing.tiesto - suburban train (sean tyas remix) ?

He's right about that. When people expect something particular from you - when you change they get annoyed or say what he says here. It was the same when Madonna was playing in Denmark this summer. Nothing good about the new tracks ...
