yeah mainstream it is I agree with that, but they're still better than most remixes... cuz of the fart style nowadays (well, for the most part) a lot of remixes sound alike...

That's, unfortunately, true. Many remixes pick the top 10 artists right now to remix their releases instead of picking a couple of artist who can actually make something pretty amazing out of it.
On those cases where that actually happens, I usually prefer remixes
