oh wow!! :wow: Same here!! I used to and when i have time I mix but with computer software which is nowhere near the reality of mixing with an actual (physically touched) equipment. Maybe it might help you on the hearing skills as well as mixing techniques (as far as theoric learning, not practical)

I want to learn ableton so I can throw some mixes out for this place.

What computer software do you use???

Ive been using Virtual DJ, Atomix, Ableton, Reason, and Sound forge a little bit, among others I can't remember right now. I'm nowhere near excellent, but as you said... to have an actual DJ gear (not software) or a combination of both might also work. But having only a computer software to mix doesn't teach you the roots of a good mixer/DJ.

yes, i did.... i actually slept for like 6 hours.... woke up about 2 hrs ago, shaved, took a quick shower and came to the forums.... :lol:
