I think you all could comment better on this .. since you are more into the scene ... but somehow I felt 2007 had given us far more number of hits than 2008 or 2009.. ofcourse 2008 was a year of vocal trance as it appeared

I am pretty new in trance, got into it in 2004-5 I think, but in my opinion, the greatest period in trance was from 2002-2005. I haven't heard many tracks which is older than from 2002, so can't really say about that. But as for my opinion it topped in 2002-2005 and then it became more copy/paste from older tracks or so. I still think we have had some amazing new tunes this year and in 2008 and so on, but for me, nothing beats the good old tracks like Mindcircus, Silver Bath, Everlast etc.
