I guess you weren't paying attention. There are shows and parties for trance and edm of all kinds every single weekend here. Really. I go to them. I go to at least 2-3 a month. Lots of Trance here.

i never knocked the edm scene down there just the general population...all of the cowboy garb makes me nervous haha but i can't be prejudice

Well, they are kind of like rattle snakes. Just don't look them in the eye and you'll be okay. Just avoid them and give them a wide berth and you're fine. Works for me.
