The illiterate younger generation. How sad. One of the great beauties of reading that that you can LEARN ANYTHING, and learn it well, because someone (usually more than one) has written a book about it. Then there's the fact that you can meet the most interesting people and go to the most wondrous places and have the greatest of adventures, all without leaving your chair/bed. Plus, the added benefits of much greater powers of communication yourself, excellent spelling and grammar, and very wide vocabulary.

As for me, I know how to do just about EVERYTHING, and I can do it very well indeed, and I've traveled all over the world and all over the Universe, and the people I've met and the situations I've been in are utterly astounding.

Reading is FUN! :grinning:
