They're not a downside unless they wreck a song. And let's face it, somebody would rip Surreal because it's not released yet and start playing it in their sets or something were the promo not there.

The way I see it is that this is one big reason why up and coming, but lesser known dj's can pull off some such awesome sets... no promos to get in the way of the flow. But that's me. Also another reason why I actually buy cd's.
