Yeah, Reaction kinetic and Chemical Process Principles and Calculations are the least of the subjects attended by teachers and students .. though the whole petrochemical industry is based majorly on them.

Heat Transfer and Mass Transfer are cool .. and so is Unit Operations.

My fav is Petroleum refining... the whole industry is an art by itself .... every single thing you have learnt as a chemical engineer gets applied inside the gates of a refinery :)

True indeed .. coz the whole basis of any reaction is at the molecular level itself.
