armins EOYC set was amaznig, thats the armin i like, no shanes 54's or mau5 tracks in his sets, trance all the way. by the way, who won the shirt? :grinning2:

The difference is, Armin was playing for a crowd at that one. And I guess the mood was trancey.

When you have a radio show, you play to the masses...can't please everyone, ya know?

Adding on, I wish most producers/DJs would stop for a week and go back in time. And start producing tracks that sound like they were from the early 2000s. I think the internet helped build and also is helping kill trance. Trance got its exposure, so did other things that people liked more. And now, the DJs know that and are playing to those other genres.

Communication is probably one of Armin's best trance tunes.

yes, it was a LIVE set from Seoul he performed last Nov, and AvB aired on ASOT 380, 2 hours only...

BTW it was very similar to AvB at GT BANANA , Beijing 3:45 hours set ( I was there!):grinning2:

but also in ASOT he sometimes plays to much progy stuff in his live recorded sets. it was a good selection he made for his EOYC set, he had Paul Miller:grinning2: did he play it live or was it a recorded live show?

During ASOT 250 I managed to have a short convo with Armin via IRC...while people were flooding for greets. And he basically agreed with me that the internet was vital to what the music was today. And basically he didn't mind peopel sharing his music, because people will still listen to his show and still come see him live.

I guess, he realizes the internet makes him more money if his music is shared.
