I believe there was an error in your conversions. 3 AM EST != 8 AM GMT/UTC

GMT does not include any daylight savings time, EST does. at the time of that show EST will equal GMT -4 not GMT -5.

The real problem however was with the CET to GMT conversion, its spring... CET is GMT +2 now.

things made short, you made a mistake translating CET to GMT, people who rely on GMT times will have a problem. EST does correspond to the CET mentioned.

I came across this while trying to schedule an appointment in google calendar, i noticed that the GMT and the EST did not correspond to eachother.
