Ben Gold

l_25209061ab7a9f52d794420896e52f26.jpg

At just 22 years old Ben Gold is one of the most multi talented names in the electronic dance scene. Ben combines a highly acclaimed career as a leading studio engineer with that of one of the brightest young stars in the trance scene, djing at some of the worlds leading clubs alongside world class dj's who all regularly fill their cd wallets with his latest works.

Ben’s weekdays range from engineering for the likes of Judge Jules to providing killer remixes and mashups for the highly competitive house music scene and its leading labels such as DATA and Hit! Records. Whilst his weekends are spent taking his own unique brand of trance and tech trance to leading clubbing establishments including The Gallery at Turnmills, Peach at Heaven, Honey Club in Brighton and Passion in Coalville.

The legendary days of Peach in London produced many of the worlds leading djs and producers including Ferry, Armin and Tiesto. At only 18 years of age Ben Gold was one of a few to grace the Camden Palace decks with his enviable style of high octane energy behind the decks and a command of equipment unrivalled by most djs turning simple tracks into looped, scratched and reedited pieces of audio excellence. Not just a dj to hear Ben Gold is one of the few you really need to see.

A versatile producer who has seen tracks featured on leading compilations such as Trance Nation Harder and Deeper as well as winning plaudits such as Judge Jules Tried and Tested and Above and Beyond Tune of the Week. Ben’s productions regularly feature on leading radio stations such as Radio 1, Galaxy and on leading radio shows such as ASOT by Armin van Buuren and TATW by Above and Beyond. Ben’s productions are played by djs as far reaching as Armin van Buuren to Sander Van Doorn, Paul van Dyk to Marco V leading to plaudits such as "Ben Gold is a talented young producer and definitely one to watch out for in the future", by none other than Paul Oakenfold!

His most recent collaboration entitled Frontline produced one of the anthems of 2006 with the double a side ‘Global System’ and ‘Surface to Air’ racking up countless radio plays and support from every A List dj including Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren and Eddie Halliwell. 2006 also saw Ben’s remix of Primer – ‘Everlast’ become one of the most sought after remixes of the year with support from Armin van Buuren, Judge Jules, Above and Beyond to name but a few. Ben latest remix offering of Mekka's Diamondback has caught the eye of Paul Oakenfold, which has lead him to being signed to Perfecto Records.

With an ever increasing gig diary and a release schedule to rival the busiest producer, 2007 looks set to be the year that Ben Gold comes of age. This multi faceted dj and producer will bring a breathe of fresh air to a scene which demands the same high quality and excellence that Ben has regularly achieved even at such a young age, the only way is to the very top.

Sophie Sugar

l_039aef102e8578f1cc0814c9b4288775.jpg

Sophie Sugar is one of the shining stars of the UK trance scene. An established international DJ in her own right and now making waves around the world as a talented and exciting new producer, it is easy to see where this young lady is heading in 2008.

Sophie was always a music lover - playing the piano for 8 years and collecting records from the tender age of 6! In her teens, she became involved in the club scene and fell in love with trance music. After experimenting with mixing she realised she was hooked and in 1999 began DJing.

Over the next few years Sophie spent time developing her own sound, playing across the UK and in Ibiza, and in 2004 was delighted to win the prestigious Gallery/DJ Magazine DJ competition.

In 2004, Sophie began developing her production skills and throughout 2005 and 2006 released the hugely successful tracks 'Call of Tomorrow' and ‘Isis’, both of which received support from many of the world's top DJs including Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren.

In 2006, Sophie's career went from strength to strength. After being nominated by Mixmag for the Trance Awards, she spent the year playing to a growing worldwide fan base with events in Canada, Morocco, Abu Dhabi, China, Europe and leading UK nights such as the Gallery, Serious and Passion.

In 2007, 'Fallen Too Far' became a worldwide smash hit after being signed to Armin Van Buuren’s trance label Armada. The track received heavy support from the world’s A list trance DJs and was featured in top 10 download charts on numerous dance music download websites.

This was followed with 'Day Seven', which Armin chose to feature on ‘A State of Trance 2007’, 'Sense of Connection' and Sophie’s very own interpretation of the Art of Trance anthem 'Madagascar'. All tracks were hugely successful, further enhancing Sophie's reputation as an exciting new producer with djs and fans worldwide.

As a DJ, Sophie continued to spread her melodic sounds across the world, travelling to many new countries including an incredible 10 date tour of Indonesia. She received continued support from the dance music press throughout the year including being featured as One To Watch by Mixmag.

In 2008, Sophie's name looks set to rocket with events already confirmed around the world including Germany, Dubai, The Czech Republic, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Look out for several new productions including Sophie’s incredible new track, ‘Redemption’, which is already being supported by Armin Van Buuren and causing waves in trance circles across the world.

With her own distinct brand of driving, uplifting trance, both in her productions and DJ sets, it's clear to see where this young lady is heading.

Vicky Devine

l_a52060872ddaf36632f8875ab77578d3.jpg

Vicky has been involved in music in some capacity throughout most of her life. Reaching Grade 6 in Piano, playing classical guitar and being a member of a singing group throughout her school life, she was quickly enticed into the dance music world at the age of 18 and has worked within the industry ever since!!!

Beginning as a club reviewer and interviewer for Dream and Eternity magazines, she then went on to dance on stage and work in various promotional roles for a number of UK based events. There was always a DJ inside though and she was soon behind the decks spending hours after college learning how to mix. This coupled with her passion for music, endless enthusiasm and perseverance has helped build her career and has made her one of the most promising female DJ’s and producers in the current dance music scene. As a result Vicky has gone on to wow fans in the UK, and indeed around the world with a reputation built on her uplifting yet driving trance sets – although versatile Vicky is just as recognised for her house sets as well these days. Playing at numerous nights in the UK including Gatecrasher, The Gallery (Turnmills), Pams House (Norwich), Slinky (Westfest Festival), Escape (Swansea), Passion (Coalville), Tranzaction and on a worldwide level including on the SLINKY Asia tour in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, the SMIRNOFF EXPERIENCE tour in India and at clubs in Canada, South America, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand to name but a few.

Over the years Vicky has been a regular guest at many top nights in Ibiza and this eventually led to her gaining a weekly main room residency at Judge Jules’s massive JUDGEMENT SUNDAYS night at Eden (2005, 2006, 2007). Playing both the warm up and close down sets at the busiest night in San Antonio has meant her playing regularly alongside many of the leading names in todays trance scene including Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Sander Van Doorn, Marco V, Ferry Corston, Marcel Woods and Matt Hardwick. Not forgetting also Vicky’s other huge summer weekly residency at Majorca’s superclub BCM for her own night – “Angels of Funk”. This has now been running for four years and has made Vicky the first ever female DJ to hold a long standing residency at this incredible club. In addition Vicky is the main resident DJ and promoter of the most successful all female DJ event to date – “Charlys Angelz”. This has completed seven successful years out in Ibiza at which Vicky has played each and every one! Both her Angels of Funk Brand and her Charlys Angelz brand have been involved in numerous tours throughout the UK and indeed the world. More recently Angels of Funk joined forces with Dirty Little Funkers - with both brands hosting numerous tour nights both in the UK and beyond..

On the production front Vicky has also seen success. She had early productions as part of collaborations released on Infectious Distribution (“Sweet Asylum”), Solar (“Angelz”) and F Active Music (“Fearing Nothing”), before moving onto working on solo productions and developing her own sound. Her first solo production – “Entravanse” – was signed to Drizzly at the end of 2005 and released in March 2006 on their Illuminate sublabel along with a remix from DJ Andy Bagguley. The track was licenced to four compilation albums, received excellent reviews in IDJ, Mixmag and M8 magazines and received support from some of trance’s top music jocks including a play on Radio One’s Dave Pearce’s Dance Anthems. Her second track entitled “Echoed Kisses” was also released on Drizzly’s Illuminate Records with a fantastic Paul Kershaw Remix as was her third "Eternal Dream" with remixes by Paul Kershaw and Ian Betts. Both achieved similar success with plays on Dave Pearce’s Dance Anthems, MOS radio and Galaxy to name but a few. Echoed Kisses was also recommended tune of the month in IDJ and had fantastic reviews in Mixmag. Vicky then moved onto her first remix project, remixing Solstice’s “Edge of the Ocean”. The whole package was subsequently signed Insatiable Records - the newest label of trance giants Solarstone - and her remix was been widely supported upon general release. This was followed with them signing her next solo track “Silver Whispers” with Nick Rowland mixes. This went on to be supported by the mighty Tiesto on his Radio Show and Podcast, Christopher Laurence, Ernesto and Bastian, Ronski Speed and was hammered by Dave Pearce on Radio One. Most recently her brand new track "Shape Up" was signed by the massive Recoverworld Group and has just been released on their Flux Delux label with an incredible remix from Trance man of the moment - Paul Miller..

Radio is also a massive part of Vicky’s career having provided Ibiza reports and interviews for Chris Baileys Ministry of Sound Show (2007), Paul Kershaw’s Saturday night Galaxy FM show (2006), Steve Smart’s Saturday night Kiss 100 FM Floorfillers Show (2004), Bournemouth’s Fire 107.6FM (2002-2004), and having also hosted her own show on Ibiza’s main dance music station Holiday FM (2005). In addition Vicky has been involved in television work with Balearic Babes (Rapture TV 2002), with an Australian production which included Vicky interviewing DJ Tiesto at Ibiza’s Cream Closing Party at Amnesia (2005) and most recently with Ministry of Sound TV (2007). She has also had guest mixes and interviews on Judge Jules's BBC Radio One Show (April 2008), Eddie Halliwell’s BBC Radio One Show (Feb 2007) and on Judge Jules’s Global Warm Up show (Dec 2006).

Ambers meteoric rise to fame has come mainly from her extensive background in music - She is a classically trained pianist and has completed a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology and also has her own studio at home. Her latest remix of 12” Thumpers – Don’t Cross the Line has also been received rave reviews by the Hard Dance faithful and still is played week in week out at Hard Dance venues in the UK and beyond.

Lange

l_86131b61d6ce317b79ef17d792ad38a1.jpg

Ranked 55 in the world (2007 DJ Mag Top 100 Poll), Lange is recognised as one of the most influential dance artists of the past decade. A DJ who has remained at the forefront of the scene throughout his career and a producer that continues to push all boundaries.

Rocketing on to the scene 10 years ago, Lange has nothing but achievement to look back on. He is the producer behind an astonishing 20 UK top 40 hits, the talent responsible for the UK Top 10 trance anthem ‘Drifting Away’, the classic SuReal - ‘You Take My Breath Away’ and the remixer that brought tracks such as DJ Sakin - ‘Protect Your Mind’ and Lost Witness – ‘Happiness Happening’ to a mainstream global audience, gaining him undiminished support from industry leaders such as Paul van Dyk, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, and Pete Tong, and even an appearance on Top of the Pops.

After 10 years in a business that has earned him a legion of fans, counting among them the trance elite, Lange shows no sign of slowing down; he has carefully honed his music style into a cutting edge blend of raw and filthy electro baselines and angelic melodies, resulting in some of the most original and characteristic trance records of recent times. After last years anthems, ‘Another You Another Me’ and 'Angel Falls' doing the damage on the dance floor, Lange is again back on form with his latest single 'Songless', taken from his highly acclaimed debut album 'Better Late Than Never'.

From euphoric trance leader to underground dance hero, as a DJ Lange does it all; rocking audiences of 25,000, performing at prestigious festivals such as Global Gathering, Summadayze, Creamfields and the Zurich Street Parade and making appearances for some of the best club brands in the world including Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Ministry Of Sound and Slinky, firmly rooting himself as one of the world’s top dance music djs, crossing genres and giving the global dancefloors exactly what they want.

John O'Bir

l_6b2c34210b7d266f5015a5d435f8c85c.jpg

Jon’s life changed back in September 2002 when he won a DJ competition for Passion and M8 magazine, beating 300 other aspiring DJ’s. Godskitchen soon offered Jon a residency and the prospect of a fledging career as Britain's next DJ sensation.

“This is how trance is meant to be: beautiful bosh that takes you to another place” Mixmag feature February 2003.

Appearances on the Essential selection and Fergie’s Radio 1 show as well as a trip to Holland for a guest mix on Armin van Buuren’s popular’ A State of Trance’ show propelled his name to a wider audience.
In 2005 Jon made an appearance on the world famous ‘Essential Mix’ and in 2006 Radio 1 offered Jon a slot on ‘The Residency’ alongside 6 other DJ’s including Eddie Halliwell and Nic Fanciulli in which they presented 6 of their own shows, broadcast live on the U.K’s most listened to radio station. He also became involved in Radio 1 events such as ‘One Big Weekend’ in Sunderland and Radio 1’s ’10 years in Ibiza’ live from Space, Ibiza, this showcased Jon’s talent to a huge audience. After the success of ‘The Residency’, Jon started his own monthly show ‘Ways & Means’ which continues to grow in popularity with listeners and with various worldwide radio stations airing the show on a regular basis.

Armin van Buuren:

"I've been impressed with Jon's recent production work as Aira Force and his A&R work for conspiracy. The man is clearly on a mission to push his own unique trance sound. He's still young and has already established his name with the trance elite. He can only get bigger. Don't say I haven't told you so."

During his residency at Godskitchen, Jon gained respect from DJ’s and clubbers for his flawless warm up and energetic peak time sets. He showed how diverse his resident skills were by warming up for Sasha, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and many more big name acts. He also kept the dance floor rocking, playing after these A-list DJ’s. Playing at Air and other huge Godskitchen events, such as Global Gathering, other clubs and other big events soon filled up Jon’s diary, these included Homelands, Gatecrasher, Slinky and international venues in U.S.A, Asia and Europe. Jon still plays regular Godskitchen events despite the residency ending in 2006 and as each month progresses more and more venues show their interests in booking this skilled artist.

In terms of his own productions, Jon’s first few projects were collaborations alongside Gareth Emery and Airwave. ‘Escapade’, ‘Bouncebackability’ and ‘No Way Back’, produced with Gareth Emery, gained plenty of support from top DJ’s and fans alike. The single ‘Promise I Made’ produced with Airwave, one of Jon’s favourite artists, was also a well supported release. With the knowledge gained from the collaborations, Jon hit the studio to create his first solo production, ‘Effectual’ and soon to follow was ‘Ascendancy’. He also worked on a number of remixes, including the massive ‘Jose Amnesia – Louder’ released on Armin van Buuren’s label, Armada.

As well as being a DJ & Producer, Jon is also a label manager of Conspiracy Recordings, created in the summer of 2005 by Jon and Rob Stevenson which continues to release high quality tracks produced by new and established artists, gaining support from all the big players in the scene.

2008 and onwards looks set to get better and better for Jon O’Bir. Paul van Dyk has signed Jon’s first artist album, titled ‘From Within’ to his huge record label Vandit and it will see a worldwide release in the summer of 2008.

With the rising popularity of his productions, radio show and record label and still under 25, the future looks very bright for Jon O’Bir.

Amber D = "Hard Dance":w00t:

Definately have to give her show a listen!!:grinning:
