Books can give you the basics but you have to listen to the language to learn it. Especially in Polish when the differences are sometimes so slight. Like between 'sz' and 'ś' - both sound a lot like english 'sh' but there IS a huge difference in meanings.

haha idd they are 2 different letters, one thing good though if you're tongue masters the language is you can learn languages with "complicated letters". F.e. japanese, one of the languages im studying, i'm better at pronouncing the ś in f.e. shitake, whereas some use sz
