what do you want than? it's the tracks that the producers provide for the dj's, they play them:)

When I was younger, before I wasn't into mixing in general and into trance in particular, I always thought that djs do tremendous work electing tracks for their mixes. But since some time I've been convinced that it's far from that. At least, there are 5 djs of 100 who really do this work. Most of them provide almost no efforts to make a great set, they just play last tunes which sometimes they don't even know who they are performed by or forget about it after they got them mixed.
It's extremely hard to create a musical form, and when you only play what you heard in a recent radioshow, you will never succeed in that.
I personally have a lot of unfinished compilations, which I've been preparing for 2-9 months till I gather all the necessary tracks to create a great thematically elected mix.
Who of you heard Markus Schulz' Coldharbour Sessions (2004)? What can you say about it? It's amazing from all points: every track fits one another, theme develops from the first second till the end. That's what musical set really is. That's what I wanted to hear (answer on your question).
In these contests I heard scarcely no set which observed one's theme throughout all the playtime.
