well if you compare the scene to the majority of american cities its quite large...i've seen many gig's at the gouvernment complex and the crowd has a great vibe

oh wow! that's crazy! i saw armin twice in 09 ($50), and very happy about it. tiesto once a year($60-$70), on average. and missed all above and beyond gigs..going to cosmic gate on feb 20, and deadmau5 sucked balls last saturday! ($20) i wonder why!
