Another one I have on vinyl!
Of all the DJs from "back in the day" Oakey was the one who most inspired me to become a DJ myself
Technically this one is a mashup rather than a rework, but what the hell...

Funny enough Cafe Del Mar was on one of the most influential albums I remember having in my mis-spent youth! So much good stuff on this: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Logic-Trance-2/release/127816My love for trance started with Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar. I literally raced to the store to get that single. But after discovering trance, Tiësto became the big inspiration here in Holland. His live mixed cd's, his setlist, the man was different. And his livesets were also different. He was so enthusiastic and had such an amazing trance story to tell in his sets. He was the first to have parties with just one DJ for 6 or more hours straight. And not to forget he gave Armin van Buuren a chance to shine on his label with his first mixing compilation.
Tiësto had his own little Magik record store in Breda where we would ocassionaly travel to and find the newest trance music. I am speaking of those days when we could still be surprised by new music which had not already been leaked.
On one of thos visits to the Magik Store In Search Of Sunrise Vol 1 had just arrived. No marketing was done prior to it, not comparable to these times. I bought the cd blindly because I knew what to expect from Tiësto but playing it for the first time was like listening to music from a different world. It really entranced me. So yes Tiësto is my oldtime hero even though he has gone a different direction. But this set Lazarus really brings me back to that era Especially since you are now playing Delerium! Haha
i remember 7YAMC had collected 800+ pages (of spam lol )
