Bio: 19yr old college student on the east coast of the US, I have only one love and her name is Trance. I try to share that love with everyone I can. Currently only experienced with VirtualDJ, my transitions are a bit rough on a few tracks. I've got lots to learn but it's all a journey and i'm enjoying every minute of it. ah.fm!

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! I tried something a bit different with this mix, going for much less vocals and more deep trance. A bit of a crosspost from another forum, but here is my thinking in regards to the naming conventions for these mixes:

Another mix! Tonight I release The Deep Mix 1 (Summer Rain). I'd like to put on my emo/artsy/dj hat for just a moment and give some background into these lame naming conventions. Bear in mind that most of what follows is completely made up, and is my interpretation of things.

The Deep Mix
Generally speaking, "Deep" Trance doesn't feature any vocals, and when looking at its waveform one notes large blocks broken up only by the occasional near-flatline. To me, a Deep Mix is one that stirs something in the listener. While still featuring some tracks with vocals, the deep mix seeks to move the listener emotionally and mentally. Chilling basslines and epic crescendos take you to places limited only by your imagination, or what kind of drugs you're on. No where as "pop" as the Vocal Mixes or Euphoria episodes, the Deep Mix also features far fewer remixes. Original cuts in all their glory are the weapon of choice for this clash between mind and music. This is the DJ Exo Deep Mix.

The Vocal Mix
The Vocal Mix is chilling, it is uplifting, it is bangin', it is funky, and it is relaxing. Vocal trance, as the name suggests, features vocals. Beyond this little definition exists. To me, vocal trance snatches your attention. It demands that you listen. Once you've started listening to a Vocal Mix, you cannot stop. Each song transitions to the next effortlessly, and you cannot go without hearing just one more song. The lyrics of a vocal mix speak to you, almost as often as the voices in your head, and you marvel at how simple it is to relate to the words in these songs. This is the DJ Exo Vocal Mix.

So, tl;dr aside, that is my explanation for these names, and what they mean to me. Take these into consideration while listening to the mixes, and I hope that will only serve to enhance your listening experience. I also wrote these because i feel that it's important to note the differences between the two.
