Why in psy? Will pay attention Friday in the club.

Most psy tracks, which are being played live today, doesn't have a very long buildup before hitting some kind of climax and a long transition can ruin the flow because of that. I have never heard John live, but I think he's making somewhat swift transitions, not from one second to another of course.
Progressive tracks tends to be longer, 8-10 minutes, and some even have a 4 minute long buildup. This makes it a whole lot easier to create a long transition without ruining the flow.
