I figured it'd get banged out to death on various radio shows throughout November & the bulk of December, and I have Brush Strokes as a high candidate for most overplayed track of this year yet... I'm rooting like **** that it doesn't get banged to death again before this is over.

Fair enough, I agree that it's a bit overplayed. I think it featured on 5 or 6 different ASOT episodes if you count all the remixes. A have a serious question though. Do you know why Psymon is not featured on the EOYC? Is it because he's too busy to make a mix?

Last year Simon was sent an invite to mix a set for EOYC. Dan even commented on one of Simon's Facebook posts to check his Inbox. My guesses then were that either he was too busy to check or saw the invite but turned it down. May have been the same case again this year. This year has more added spice of Simon being busy with the Open Up Movement and his Open Up Weekly Show.
 
Stealth Bomber is getting played a lot by the 140 trance DJ's but its one of my favorites!! still so I dont' mind
 
Simon Patterson donsnt' even produce his own stuff anymore from what I have heard, he's too busy touring and having ghost producers write his tracks now I'm sure

Don't forget his BBC Radio 1 residency. I mean he didn't do a mix yesterday for his radio show. Played a recording from the summer, so I guess he's extremely busy.

If he wasn't mixing a fresh edition of Open Up then, it was because of those 4 months on the In New DJs We Trust Roster. I tuned in for at least 2 of those 4 shows (had a little fun with them too), though that may have indicated how busy he would be throughout the year with the guests he invited for half-hour guest mixes on Open Up. As well as Askew at some point for two guest mix takeovers, one of them an Old School Techno mix from the 90s.

this is good stuff

just some rumours I've heard - doubt its true -- but man the guy is hugely popular now its possible
