Birmingham is around 70 miles, not that close. Liverpool is 35-40 mins, Manchester is 50-55 mins. New places need to explored.
after living in London for nearly 2.5 yrs, time to change, London is too much of everything, extra busy all year long, now I need some rest and new environment. and yeah of course is cheaper lol. there are very good parties up north too! and I have more chance to visit some buddies in Glasgow

well good luck, Chester is a small town right? there is nice places in UK, to the south close to the coast i think is great too
