Lots of shallow house in the mix so far. It's refreshing.

Eh.. Some people call it deep house but your deep house purists would probably burn you at the stake if you called it deep house. I've heard it referred to as future/shallow house though.

Never learned what people meant by "deep" in this sense.

It's like a watered down version of deep house. Best description of shallow house I've ever read:

It's like deep house but its not and it's like house but it's not, it's kind of like uk bass but it's not, it might even sound a little like future garage but really, we all know it's not. It's shallow house.
If the track is standing, surrounded by future, garage, house, deep house and uk bass, and no one wants it.. it belongs in shallow house. Welcome to the kiddie pool, where it's not quite deep.
