not too difficult. open an extra tab in your browser . do use the ' Reply With Quote ' button: address = bottom right, of a given post containing a visible picture. Only view. Watch. Check how the address of the picture looks like. Default addres is starting with http:// then: website. this is called hot-linking. Uploading a picture from your computer does not work (is prevented) Want to show a picture that's on your HDD/SSD of your computer ? No problem. Upload your picture first. There are free possibilities. Websites like FlickR and Instagram do host pictures for free.

why wont this work....?

this won't work, because the addess of the picture starts with C:/Users / etc etc. An address starting from a computer like this, is rejected by software afaik. Is blocked. Prevented.
So I suggest you upload your picture first to a webserver of Instagram or FlickR (there are many more btw )

Just take a minute: watching. Simply watching how others do it. Analyse the addresses of pictures first. Check. Look. Compare. See the different parts of the address. the final part, the very picture itself, mostly is .jpg or .png or .gif (called the DOS extension)
