Story was that he made up the lyrics for his dad who just passed. He recorded the vocals on the spur of the moment, showed it to the other guy and they actually used that initial track for the vocals instead of re-recording it

That's such a touching story. Reminds me of how This Is All We Have came about

It really is, and I found the initial story post of it. Jules' dad passed 10 years ago and wrote the song and sang it. There's more story about it if you search around YouTube for their official making of story
