What was the first piece of equipment you purchased and why?

I had this bad boy many moon ago, maybe 2001 before i got the gemini turntables, then i had 1210's and a behringer djx400 mixer, then i had cdj 800's and now 1000's and belive it or not but i only upgraded my mixer to a djm800 2 months ago lol.

Almost bought a nexus 900 in Feedback in Rotterdam when i was there last November. Some piece of kit!
