A 1.5 week ago I bought 820MB of digital music at Juno Download. All (each and every) release got a (not quite similar, not exactly 1:1 named) yet: matching release cover art picture (default size 700x700px)
and about the MP3 tagging: do you listen by your
eyes then ? :grinning2: All sounds produced by the human body (no farts

) but let's say: mouth, lips, vocal cords, whistling ?

I do put at ' vocals '. So not merely 'actually existing or invented artificial speech or language'. At times the vocal contribution doesn't last ' for ages ', like
Björn Åkesson feat. Ameera Ali - Painting Pyramids but lenght by itself is a different aspect of any (not only vocal) contributions to a final production.
It's a funny one really - I know when producing sometimes there are VSTs you can use that simulate the sound of a vocal harmony, a choir chorus etc, which you can then use as a sort of backing vocal, but it's not one that can be credited to any one singer, and may not really be the correct sound of their voice, as they'll have sung it in one key which then gets transposed in the studio to the key needed for the track. I guess personally I tend to associate vocals with lyrics in whichever form.
I often wondered this with OceanLab and Justine though too - she was part of the band itself, so would she need crediting separately as a vocalist on their tracks? If I recall sometimes she did and sometimes she didn't, but it's a tricky one
I don't deal with vocalists at Defcon very much though so I normally manage to avoid all this confusion
